Meg Shirayama is a London based artist exploring geometric language through minimal painted forms. Her work draws inspiration from elemental geometries found in everyday utilitarian objects. Through her practice, she further explores themes of resourcefulness and the economy of design by studying and working with artisans in London. In keeping with her interest in the clarity of basic forms, she urges us to question possibilities by allowing the separate forms in each work to be organized differently -- shifting our perspective based on the orientation of the forms.
