Nothing Cooks Like Our Carbon Steel
Our robust cookwares are built-to-last, investment pieces you can use everyday, and for generations to come.
Each piece in our carbon steel cookware line is hand-spun and hand-forged by blacksmith Peter Clark on our farm in Northeast Oregon.
Carbon Steel is naturally stick resistant, with no chemical treatments added, nor coatings to strip or destroy. Instead, our cookware continues to season with use, and just gets better with time. Enjoy clean, healthy cooking – from our home to yours.
Customize your pan with your choice of our three handle designs: Glacier, Grande Ronde or Pioneer.

How did we curate this product?
While there’s no universal standard for sustainable manufacturing, Living Deep is committed to supporting brands, makers and manufacturers that are on a ‘deep green’ path, making progress towards positive environmental and social benefit. Where does the product come from?
What is it made of?
Our carbon steel cookware is made of 100% steel with no coating or chemicals. The lovely blue patina is a natural reaction of the steel produced as Peter heats each piece to around 800 degrees. We source our raw materials in the Pacific Northwest and choose American made steel whenever available.
Where does it go at the end of its life?
Peter designs and builds each piece with the intention of it continuing on as a family heirloom for generations. In the unlikely event that something happens to damage your pan we will repair or replace it. If a piece is unrepairable it is completely recyclable.
Company statement
Homestead Springs Farm & Forge is a peaceful refuge of forest and pasture tucked into the Blue Mountains of Oregon. Owners Peter Clark and Sue Miller have combined their talents to bring you Northwest Skillet Company - hand crafted, carbon steel & copper cookwares.
We are pursuing our dream of self-reliance. We live by the seasons, raise our own food, and cook with our own handmade cookwares.
Our culinary tools are a slow-crafted, soul connection. With every piece made, we unearth ways of old. With every piece sold, we sustain the future of the trade.
Our driving mission is to perpetuate the land and the craft of blacksmithing for generations to come. When you buy from Northwest Skillet Company, you actively participate in that movement. Thank you for your support.
