This reusable heat pack contains organic flax seeds that provide soothing weighted comfort with moist heat for natural pain relief. Natural pain relief great for menstrual cramps, sore muscles, stomach aches, and it makes an excellent foot warmer in bed on chilly evenings. This also doubles as a cold pack when placed in the freezer. 


Mini (4 x 6): The perfect travel companion. Weighing only .5 lbs. Great for work, travel, ear aches, cold pack, and hand warmers.


Medium (9 x 12): V-Shaped and weights 2.25 lbs 


Large (9 x 15): V-Shaped and weights 3.5 lbs 


Unique, original design. The V-shaped edge was designed by our founder to sit comfortably on the lower abdomen to help ease cramps while sitting or lying down. It also sits snug in the middle of the chest to soothe stomach discomfort.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Microwave Instructions: 


Medium/Large: Place in microwave for 2-3 minutes. If more heat is desired, place it back in the microwave for 30 second increments until desired heat level is achieved. Relax and enjoy.


Mini: Place in microwave for 1 minute. If more heat is desired, place it back in the microwave for 15 second increments until desired heat level is achieved. Relax and enjoy.


Oven instructions: Preheat oven to 315 degrees Fahrenheit. Place pack on a pan or tray and place in oven. Heat for 10 minutes, remove from oven. Relax and enjoy.


To use as a cold pack: Place in freezer until cold. We recommend using a non-toxic silicone bag to keep the pack from absorbing odors. 


Fabric Origin: 100% Texas-grown organic cotton. Spun in North Carolina + woven in Pennsylvania.


Contents: South Dakota-grown organic flax seeds.


Thread: 100% organic cotton thread.

Packaging + Shipping

The materials used across all of our shipping mailers, cards, tags, tissue paper, stickers, and tape are 100% recycled, recyclable, biodegradable, and plastic-free. Our tag string is 100% organic cotton. All materials are printed using a mixture of soy-based ink and non-toxic toner, and we are actively working to switch to 100% non-toxic toner across all our printing requirements.


The paper for our product cards are made entirely from FSC-certified recycled paper and also 100% tree-free recycled cotton paper made from T-shirt industry waste. 100% of the electricity used to manufacture the paper is matched with Green e-certified wind energy and process chlorine free.

How did we curate this product?

The Conscious Comfort was founded in 2020 on principles of sustainability, craftsmanship, and of course, comfort. We offer small-batch, locally made goods, with an emphasis on biodegradability and organic materials. 

Where does the product come from?

The cotton is organically grown in the Southwest USA, most coming from Texas, New Mexico, and California. The colored cotton varieties are heirloom cottons that naturally bloom those shades of green and brown. No dyes are used to achieve our colored items. The cotton is then spun into yarn in North Carolina and depending on the fabric, woven into fabric in North Carolina or Pennsylvania. 


Our items are cut and sewn in Jersey City with organic cotton thread. We are proud to state that our labor rates to create our products are set at a healthy 25/hour for our sewers who work out of a comfortable home studio 10 minutes away from us. 

What is it made of?

All of our products are made of 100% USA grown organic cotton. The fabrics are woven with no chemical processing or treatments. Our textiles are minimally processed with no detrimental impact to our environment. 

Where does it go at the end of its life?

All of our products are designed to be fully compostable/biodegradable. We have zero synthetic components in any of products or packaging. Please compost your items at the end of its life.

Organic

Only the highest quality USA grown and manufactured organic textiles are sourced, exclusively grown without the use of pesticides or herbicides, and manufactured without chemical processes or treatments. The colored cotton varieties seen across our family of products are natural and undyed.


Biodegradable

Every one of our products is designed to be fully biodegradable with zero synthetic elements. We are champions of natural organic fibers and will never compromise on our commitment to sustainability. All items sewn with organic cotton thread. All product labels are also 100% organic cotton printed with non-toxic inks.


Domestic

In an effort to minimize our carbon footprint, we strictly source US grown and made materials. The Conscious Comfort proudly supports artisans, farmers, and other small businesses across the US that are committed to a more sustainable future through their regenerative and sustainable practices. 


Ethical

No sweatshops, no prison labor, no child labor. TCC products are vegan. No animal products or by-products are used.


We put our money where our mouth is. Our items are sewn in-house in Jersey City, NJ and, when needed, at a local home studio just 10 minutes away. We are honored to support these skilled workers, who earn 25 per hour and we hope more businesses follow suit in increasing wages for our valuable workforce across the nation. 


Our handwoven linens are also woven by artisans here in the US, who set their own rates.
